We are grateful for the influx of food and toiletries that we have received through the annual Mail Carriers’ Food Drive on Saturday, May 10.  However, the total amount collected was far below that of previous years, and we will likely run out of food much sooner than normal.

We have seen a big rise in the number of people using our food bank.  Many people who used to be supporters are now having to ask for help.  Many others who used to only come once or twice a year now come much more often.

Our food bank is always in need of basic food supplies and toiletries (listed below).  The spring and summer months are especially low times.  Please see the list below for food and non-food items that are always in great demand.

You may drop them off at 832 6th St. any weekday between 8am and 4pm.Our food bank is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30am to 11:15am, and on Wednesday evenings from 4:00pm to 5:45pm.

Can you please have Kitsap Sun Run this list in the newspaper so more people will know what you need more of in the food bank. And what baby food is needed also! Hope to see this run this month.
